Kilt Rentals

The original Great Kilt was made from wool, often grown on one's own sheep. It measured approximately nine yards of material, and when one wanted a full kilt he would order "the whole nine yards." Today's kilts are much more refined, and the Celtic Centre is proud to feature kilts made by the internationally renowned Lochcarron of Scotland. Our rental kilts are made of 13 ounce fabric and woven to the absolute highest standard.

Scheduling a Fitting
It is highly recommended that persons wishing to rent a kilt outfit come in to be fitted at least three months prior to the reserved date. There is a good reason for this!

Tartan
We provide the Black Watch tartan for all rentals. There are two reasons:
1. Black Watch is an accepted tartan for both Irish and Scottish families, and
2. The tartan will accommodate virtually any bridal colors.

Accessories
In addition to the kilt, our rentals provide: a Prince Charlie jacket and vest, kilt belt and buckle, Sporran and Sporran belt, kilt pin, kilt hose, Sgian Dubh, flashes and black bow tie. We do not provide the shirt nor shoes (most kilt wearers wear a formal tuxedo shirt, but any white shirt will suffice).
